Chat Rules

The short version of what is and isn't OK on iLoveChat.

Who can be here

iLoveChat is for adults: you must be 18 or older. Anyone who seems to be under 18 can be reported, and is removed. Nicknames that suggest someone is a minor are not allowed.

What is not allowed

• Sexual messages, sexual nicknames, asking for or offering sexual content.
• Harassment, bullying, threats, hate against anyone's religion, caste, gender, region or language.
• Spam, flooding, the same message again and again, advertising.
• Scams: asking for money, OTPs, bank details or gift cards.
• Sharing anyone's personal details, including your own phone number or address.
• Pretending to be a moderator, iLoveChat staff or someone else.
• Nude or sexual photos, photos of anyone without their consent, and any photo of a child. Child sexual abuse material is reported to the police.

Photos

• Photos and GIFs can be shared only in private chats, once you have both written.
• Photos you receive stay blurred until you tap them, and disappear after 5 minutes.
• Got an unwanted photo? Tap Report photo under it.

What we do about it

• Phone numbers, links and sexual words are blocked before they are shown.
• A message reported by three people is hidden for everyone.
• Someone reported by four people within an hour is muted for 30 minutes.
• Someone reported as under 18 by two people is removed for a day, while a moderator checks.
• Moderators read reports and can ban for a day, a week, or longer.

Staying safe

• Never send money, OTPs or private photos to someone you met here.
• Don't share where you live, study or work.
• If someone makes you uncomfortable: tap their name, then Ignore or Report.
• If you are in danger, call 112. For a child at risk, call 1098 (Childline).
• Cheated, threatened or blackmailed online? Call the cyber crime helpline 1930 or report at cybercrime.gov.in.
